Verona to Bologna by Bike – EUROVELO 7 Adventure
Discover the best of Northern Italy on this scenic cycling tour from Verona to Bologna, part of EUROVELO 7, the long-distance route stretching from North Cape to Malta. Along the way, explore UNESCO World Heritage cities like Verona, Mantua, and Bologna, and immerse yourself in the gently rolling Po Valley countryside, famous for its food and wine traditions.
From Verona, cycle to Peschiera del Garda on the shores of Lake Garda, then follow the green Mincio River bike path to Mantua. Enjoy flat, easy riding along the Po and Secchia rivers, and explore charming small towns like Mirandola and San Giovanni in Persiceto. End your journey in Bologna, the culinary heart of Italy.
Day 1 – Arrival in Verona
Arrive individually in Verona for a warm meet & greet and bike fitting.

Day 2 – Verona to Peschiera del Garda (38 km)
Start cycling west along a scenic canal bike path. Head into the hills and ride through vineyards and olive groves to reach Peschiera del Garda.
Optional: Stop at a local winery for a tasting as part of your Food & Wine experiences.

Day 3 – Peschiera del Garda to Mantua (47 km)
Cycle along the tranquil Mincio River, passing the picturesque village of Borghetto sul Mincio with its medieval castle and historic water mills. Arrive in Mantua, a charming city surrounded by three lakes.

Day 4 – Mantua to Ostiglia (42 km)
Ride through fertile countryside, canals, and cultivated fields. Stop in Governolo for a coffee before continuing along the Po River to reach Ostiglia, a traditional riverside town.

Day 5 – Ostiglia to Mirandola (48 km)
Cross the Po River to Revere and admire the Ducal Palace. Follow the winding Secchia River, passing through Concordia, still marked by the 2012 earthquake. Reach Mirandola, birthplace of Renaissance philosopher Giovanni Pico della Mirandola.
Optional: Enjoy a tasting at a balsamic vinegar producer.

Day 6 – Mirandola to San Giovanni in Persiceto (41 km)
Ride along the Ciclovia del Sole, a bike path built on a former railway, passing through San Felice sul Panaro and Crevalcore. Arrive in San Giovanni in Persiceto, a charming town with historic murals and a centuries-old Carnival tradition.
Optional: Taste local cheeses and cured meats in a traditional shop.

Day 7 – San Giovanni in Persiceto to Bologna (36 km)
