Veneto Wine Bike Tour : a bike tour that will let you discover the fine bubbles and typical products of this territory and its of cultural heritage.
Cycling through the hills of Prosecco is an absolute must, and the bike is undoubtedly the best way to enjoy the beauty of these hills, where lush vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, framed to the north by the Trevigiane Alps and to the south by the plain where the Piave River flows peacefully.
You will encounter a land rich in charm, history, and art, as well as unexpected surprises that testify to its millennia-old past: ancient castles, aristocratic villas, monuments, but also local establishments and wineries where the locals keep tradition and the pleasure of hospitality alive. It will be impossible not to taste the local products! Viticulture here has ancient roots: the first written evidence of Prosecco dates back to 1772, and today, even though sparkling wines are widespread throughout Italy, only products made from grapes from this particular region can carry the evocative name of “Prosecco” to the world, spreading its floral and fruity fragrance. A cycling tour suitable for everyone, along bike paths and less traveled secondary roads.
Day 1: Arrival in Vittorio Veneto
Individual arrival at the hotel in Vittorio Veneto. Free time for individual visits. Overnight stay in a bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Vittorio Veneto – Valdobbiadene (approx. 38 km)
Today’s stage alternates between nature and culture. Initially, you cycle from Vittorio Veneto through Lake Revine in Valmareno amidst the Treviso hills and the Venetian Pre-Alps. Then, you pedal through green woods, beeches, and chestnuts above the village of Follina, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. We highly recommend a stop at Osteria Senz’Oste, a famous place with unique charm. From the top, you have a 180-degree panorama of the characteristic hills where vineyards grow on steep slopes.
Day 3: Valdobbiadene – Bassano del Grappa (approx. 45 km)
Starting from Valdobbiadene, the stage passes through many small and welcoming villages that invite you to stop and refresh. You cycle towards Bassano del Grappa, located to the south at the foot of Monte Grappa, from which the town takes its name. Interesting are the numerous grappa distilleries present here and the famous wooden bridge “Ponte degli Alpini.”
Day 4: Bassano del Grappa – Asolo – Pieve di Soligo (approx. 71 km)
Today’s stage takes you from Bassano del Grappa to Asolo, situated on a hill and famous for its Prosecco. From Asolo, you cycle comfortably to Susegana. The landscape is completely surrounded by vineyards, small villages, typical taverns, and wineries. Shortly after Susegana, you pass the magnificent complex of the Castle of San Salvatore a Collalto before reaching Pieve di Soligo, the destination of the stage. Due to its favorable geographical position, Pieve di Soligo is also called “the pearl of the Piave.”
Day 5: Pieve di Soligo – Conegliano – Vittorio Veneto (approx. 45 km)
Today, you cycle from Pieve di Soligo above Refrontolo to Molinetto della Croda – an old water mill from the 17th century, which we absolutely recommend visiting. The stage continues through vineyards and typical taverns to Corbanese, San Pietro di Feletto, and Rua di Feletto, reaching Conegliano, the second municipality in the province after the capital Treviso, a crossroads between Venice, Udine, and Cortina.
